FULL SPOILER FREE REVIEW NOW POSTED The Edge of Always  perfectly recaptured that special feeling from the first book stayed true to the characters and told a beautiful story filled with romance adventure and emotional depth It also fully brought Andrew and Camryn's journey full circle giving a wonderful sense of closure to their story I have to admit that I was very nervous about reading this book because I felt a certain apprehension at reading the sequel to a book that really could have been a standalone  The Edge of Never was truly one of my most favorite books of 2012 and it ended in such a beautiful way that I was completely happy with the story and a little worried to read because I didn't want these characters I'd come to love so dearly to be put through any unnecessary drama Well turns out I had no reason to fear JA Redmerski did a wonderful job of writing a sequel that did true justice to characters we'd all grown so fond ofPlease note that this is not a standalone and should only be read after  The Edge of Never It is a direct continuation that follows the same main couple Andrew and Camryn and the story is told from both their POVs in alternating chapters giving us a very well rounded view of the whole storyRight from the beginning of the book I slipped right back into their story as though I'd never left Even though I did not have time to reread book 1 first I still was able to reconnect instantly I could feel the depths of their well deserved happiness and couldn't help but to be caught up in the moment After everything they'd been through they needed this But the blurb hinted at a tragedy and so there was a constant tension in the background of the blissful setting as I dreaded the inevitable devastation that I knew was coming And I won't lie that when it hit it hurt like hellBut Andrew and Camryn had already been through a lot together and the foundation of their relationship was solid and binding I never had any doubt that they'd get through it no matter how bad it got and they did But it wasn't an easy journey Weighed down by their loss Camryn began to fall apart and out of his love for her Andrew came up with a plan to help her heal he took them back on the road And through their journey they slowly began heal the broken pieces of their hearts and find their happiness once again This is our life We met on the road we grew to know and to love each other on the road It's where we were meant to be for however long and what we're going to do until it becomes clear we were meant to do something else Andrew Parrish just made me melt and swoon over and over again The depths of his love for Camryn just rolled off the page and I loved how he was willing to go to any lengths to ensure her happiness You're the world to me I whisper onto her lips I hope you never forget that I'll never forget she whispers back But if I ever do for whatever reason I hope you'll always find a way to remind me Always Along the road Andrew also helped Cam get closure for things from her past that were still hurting her and that she hadn't yet dealt with I swear that man was just a saint He was the perfect blend of just a regular tender loving guy and a hot dominant Alpha I absolutely adored himBut I loved that Cam helped him too It went both ways and honestly they both healed each other by finding moments of happiness each day and living every minute of their time together to it's absolutely fullest Some minutes made me tear up others made me laugh hysterically Along the road memories were created promises were made and a life was rebuiltAndrew and Cam's journey was unlike any other I've read Their story really stands out and I was just so impressed with the direction the author took this story in and with the way she stayed so true to these beloved characters This series has the perfect blend of romance and adventure combined with heartfelt emotional depth I think fans of The Edge of Never will be very happy with this sequel We're in it together All of it Do you believe that? She nods Yes 45 stars For of my reviews book news and updates✦ Main blog Aestas Book Blog✦ Facebook Blog Page✦ Twitter

3 BANG MY HEAD ON THE WALL STARS The Edge of Never was one of the VERY first New Adult books I read It helped kickstart my fascination with this genre and had one of the most unique inspirational and heartwarming storylines I’d ever read After finishing the first book I was in a warm content fuzzy place where I was satisfied to let go of these characters That being said though another book about them is cool tooThat is until the second book turned out to be a disappointmentFor one the plot just fell flat I mean below ground zero flat I could understand if the beginning of the book started out slow but I expect it to build up or change a bit Which it didn’t I was literally waiting for something epic or something that would have shook me out of my bored stupor Something did happen of course It was that “tragedy” in the blurb Okay I do not want to sound like I’m a conceited unemotional uncaring bitch but that “tragedy?” DidNotAffectMeAtAll Whatsoever Maybe because you have to live it to experience it? I know for sure a few of my GR friends will be emotionally invested in this story because of said tragedy and that’s totally normal But for me I’m going to attribute my lack of response to the very slow plot buildup then – SMACK – you get this plot twist that is entirely predictable and not very impressive So As a result of that tragedy Camryn just spirals downhill and crashes And OMG Did I want to smack her in the face because of the choices she made At this part I feel like the author overexaggerated her grief and downgraded Andrew’s emotions Flippety flop Both on rather extreme ends Next Andrew wants to spice up their lives because Camryn acts like a dead person and he’s not regularly getting laid worried about her state of health and their relationship They go on this road trip which isn’t a bad idea But Did the author have to add in so many time gaps I’m not even joking here One page they’ll be celebrating Camryn’s birthday in December and the next page flips to late January okay not a big gap but still what happened to the days in between? I can accept that as long as there aren’t of those gaps BUT NO After January guess where it goes? TO MAY Like do they need a calendar or something? I want to know what the heck they did in February March and April for goodness sake After that one everything goes normal for a while until the ending and I’ll get to that part later Next This one particular event around 55% into the book DROVEMEINSANE No spoilers here For one the author just shouldn’t have added it into the book It cut the flow It didn’t go with the story It almost seemed as if she added this in just to introduce Bray and Elias starring in the Song of the Fireflies and not as part of the plot Quick zip in and out I still cannot believe she would do this to her characters It was completely unnecessary Andrew and Camryn even agreed to just drop it so what the heck was the point of adding it in besides creating unnecessary drama? Afterwards no mention of this scene hence my notion of her adding this to just quickly introduce Bray and Elias Oh btw I absolutely abhor the idea of anyone else touching Andrew besides Camryn and though there is no form of cheating going on I wanted to punch out his nuts regardless Even though he’s “innocent” Next The believability of the story So they take this very long road trip and when they get back they’re already planning on their future trips And I’m not talking about state to state in the US this is full on flying to Africa Europe South America etc I get that Andrew has this handy dandy trust fund and they make good money from their gigs but seriously? To me this just sounds so very impractical and unbelievable What if they have a family? Eventually how are they going to be strapping a baby or two on one of these tours? Huh Maybe that’s why view spoiler the author jumped right from present day Camryn and Andrew to fifteen years later where the kid grew up hide spoiler

4 ♥ ♥ ♥ Andrew Parrish ♥ ♥ ♥ Stars When everything falls apart love remains Camryn and Andrew are together Happy More in love than they’ve ever been Then something big happens to them both Something that changes their lives forever Camryn starts to change in little ways Andrew knows he was to do something to bring her back to herself He decides they need to go back to the start Back on the road Andrew Parrish Andrew will always have a special place in my heart I fell in love with him even in this story He is funny sweet loving sexy and will make you swoon like no other ‘I promise to love you forever in this life and wherever we go in the afterlife because I know I can’t go on in any life unless you’re in it too’ ‘You’re the other half of me that I know I can never live without’‘Where else would I be than wherever you are?’ There were many things I loved about this book One of my favorite scenes when they went back to New Orleans The discovery they made there was profound “It’s like you know it doesn’t matter what you do even if you try to replicate an experience down to every last detail it’ll never be the way it was when it happened naturally the first time” Andrew and Camryn’s love is like a journey It’s not always easy but they make it work They truly are soul mates People that were meant to meet be together and stay together forever They are passionate full of love and life They show that even when things get hard with the right person by your side you can get through anything Andrew and Camryn’s story will forever be unforgettable to me The Edge of Never is one of my favorite books of all time Such a beautiful story JA Redmerski is a very talented author I am a huge fan The writing was excellent The book was wonderful but compared to book one it just missed the mark a bit for me It didn’t captivate me like the first book I still loved it just not as much Still a solid 4 stars We only have one life We get one shot at making it worth living We took our shot and ran like hell with it And I think we did pretty damn good Our story is over yes but our journey isn’t because we’ll always live on the edge until the day we die

35So it only took likeforever to finally get through this I love this couple I really do And I was hella excited when we were told there'd be a sequel In fact I was one of the many that hounded Jessica to write a sequel after I finished TEoN Because we HAD to have Andrew and Cam I fell in love with Andrew and I loved him in this book But reallyit should've stopped there The sequel really wasn't needed and I hate that I have to say that It saddens me But sometimes the sequels aren't really keeping my excitement any But I still enjoyed it just not as much as TEON That one will always be one of my all time favoritesHowever the epilogue was pretty good Didn't see that comingEXCERPTCamryn shrieks and I start laughing as we dash away from the cows and toward the car“Awww shiiiit” I yell when I step in a huge pile of itCamryn cackles with laughter and we both practically stumble the rest of the way through the field me trying to scrape the shit off the bottom of my shoe while running at the same time and Camryn’s flip flops getting caught on the ground trying to keep up with her feet“I can’t believe that just happened” Camryn laughs as we finally make it back to the car She arches her body over forward and props her hands on her knees trying to catch her breathI’m out of breath too but I still relentlessly scrape the bottom of my shoe on the asphalt “Dammit” I say rubbing my foot back and forthCamryn jumps up on the hood of the car letting her legs hang over the front “Can we finally say that we did it?” she asks with laughter in her voiceI stand still finally and catch my breath I look at her at how beautiful and bright that smile of hers is and I say “Yeah babe I think we can safely mark it off our list”“Good” she saysThen she points behind me “Do it on the grass” she says with one side of her mouth pinched into a hard line “You’re just spreading it around doing it like that”I hop over into the grass and start rubbing my foot back and forth again “Since when did you become an expert on shit?”“Better watch your mouth” she warns getting into the driver’s seat“What are you going to do?” I taunt herShe starts the Chevelle and revs the engine a few times pressing on the gas There’s a cruel gleam in her eyes She props her left arm across the top of the open window and next thing I know she’s driving slowly past meI give her the warning eye but her grin just gets bigger“I know you won’t leave me here” I shout as she goes past meSurely she wouldn’tShe gets farther away and at first I call her bluff and just stand here watching her get smaller and smallerFinally I take off running after the carWoohooooooooo I love it Can't wait for November It's so far away More Andrew please WoohooHOLY SHIT I am just the happiest girl today This makes me happy happy happppppppppy SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE More Andrew Parrishyes yes yes More Andrew Fucking Parrish Ahhhhhhhhhh I can't contain my excitement SO SO SO SO SO SO SO excited deep breaths deep breathsI may as well give this book FIVE stars right now because I don't think it will be anything less than perfectOMFG OMFG Oh My God I'm gonna die I'm gonna dieAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHdies dies diesLook At That Cover Andrew Fucking Parrish died dies dies

Joint review with KristenSplage posted at Swept Away By RomanceKristen 3 ½ StarsSplage 3 ½ StarsWhat workedKristen says One of the things I loved about this book is the amazing characterizations J A Redmerski has a uncanny ability to write characters and dialogue that are so full of life and humanity that they seemingly jump off the pagesI also loved the road trip It was fun being on the road with Camryn and Andrew againSplage says I am going to start by saying that I chose The Edge of Never as my number one book of 2012 That being said I was very scared to reopen the perfect and fresh experience I had with it What I found with The Edge of Always is that it was not a rewrite or a full length epilogue disguised as a book like you often see as a sequel when book 1 has a true and satisfying ending Camryn and Andrew’s life goes on and it isn’t perfect They run into to some hard and heartbreaking obstacles What didn’t workKristen says Unfortunately the first half of the story didn't fully work for me It was very slow and I struggled with the initial direction the author took the continuation of Camryn and Andrew's storySplage says I enjoyed their continued adventure and rebellious free spirits of Andrew and Camryn but was it as good as The Edge of Neverno and unfortunately that is what it is going to be compared to The writing was flawless the story telling fabulous the character depth beautiful but I didn’t feel there was anything gained by continuing their story It sort of depressed me until two thirds of the way through the book where I got that happy euphoric feeling againBest scenesKristen says My favorite scene in this book was when Camryn and Andrew revisited New Orleans and came to realize that you can never fully recreate the past It was such a poignant scene and I loved everything aboutSplage says The Epilogue is a flash forward 15 years and I loved it I can’t really say too much about it because would give lots away but after reading it plus the last third before it I jumped my rating ½ a point to 35 starsFavorite charactersKristen says I loved loved loved Andrew's character in this story I adored him in the first book but he really shined in this oneSplage says Andrew was such a wonderful hero in this story he stayed true to the protective giving and sexy character that he was in book 1 Overall ThoughtsKristen says While I'm glad I read this story and loved much about it it didn't capture my imagination or my heart like first one did I struggle to stay interested and connected during the first half of the book and even though I loved the characters and the ending for me it didn't have the same impact as The Edge of Never one of my favorite books of 2012 As much as I loved getting of Camryn and Andrew and I did sometimes I feel it's better to leave a good thing alone 35 StarsSplage says Even though The Edge of Always didn’t live up to book 1 I think that was an impossible task in my eyes it still was a good read I wonder to myself if I would have liked it even if I would have reread The Edge of Never and then gone directly into reading The Edge of Always It might have given me an overall experience that was unbelievable 35 Stars A copy of the book was provided to Swept Away by Romance by Grand Central Publishing in exchange for an honest review

EXCERPT AND MORE HERE Edging to a disappointing 35 starsThis will be a difficult review to write I loved The Edge of Never it was a six star read for me and a top on my list of favorites I have been waiting FOREVER for The Edge of Always and as much as it pains me to say this I was left disappointedI need to first put this out there There are a lot of five star reviews for The Edge of Always and I can understand that It’s just a matter of taste and personal preference The sequel did not affect me like the five star reviewers and I guess when it comes down to it if an author is going to write a sequel on a couple you absolutely love what can the author write about that will hold your interest?I love Andrew and Cam I love Andrew period and yes one of the reasons is because he has the same name as my husband So when we leave off from The Edge of Never it was a HEA right? The two couple is moving forward this is not a spoilerSo there needs to be tension right for book two? I think this is where I had a hard time in enjoying the book I couldn’t agree with the tension I am the type of reader that likes couples to go against the world where they use their love for each other to work out struggling issues The issues come from a third party and or external force I do not like it when the tension is between the Heroine and Hero It’s because I already went through that I went through the couple’s struggles in the first book and I simply do not want to go over that again So yes Cam and Andrew go through issues and as a result of these issues it creates tension in the relationship I honestly believe a lot of things could have been resolved with a conversation or just pure logical reasoning Cam was silly she frustrated me and I wanted to slap her If I want to slap anyone in a book it’s the downfall for meNow there’s other things that go on and at one point we all know what I am talking about if you have read it I was kind of like oh yeah this is perking my interest I want this kind of drama and then just as I was getting into it the thing fizzes outAnd then towards the second half the story drags I hate to do this because I love Redmerski so much yes I have a girl crush on her but I gasp skimmed I know I hide my face in shame I just didn’t care about this or that that or this So what? Big deal? Let’s get something going onI don’t know where the story was suppose to take me I wanted to feel for Andrew and Cam but what I got was a young couple going through problems but reacting kind of ridiculous and then boringI say this though you may not react the same way as me If you are true Andrew and Cam fan please read this book If there is another book in the series I will read it I will read anything by Redmerski because to me she is one of the top writers I have faith in her and I just think she may have been snatched by aliens when she wrote this bookSorry I went there But I really do love Andrew Cam and Redmerski I hope I’m not hated by many after this review An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest reviewFor please visit Jacqueline's ReadsSeries OrderThe Edge of NeverThe Edge of AlwaysBuddy Read Tricia D

My Thoughts ♫ It was great being back with one of my favorite couples Andrew and Camryn and even though I didn't think it was as good as the first book it was still very enjoyable♫ Of course what I thought might happen happened and it certainly lead to some drama but I liked how Andrew and eventually Camryn handled things ♫ I loved loved loved the road trip I think that's one of my favorite things ♫ But what in the heck happened in Florida? That was sooo crazy and seemed a little pointless? I didn't realize until I saw the excerpt for Song of the Fireflies that it was possibly to introduce Bray and Elias?♫ Andrew is just sooo sweet and he just gets Camryn I love how they are with each other I still love their tattoos their singing together and I especially loved all their little promises they were making and got a kick out of how it was incorporated later on♫ I wasn't too happy with how tricky JAR was especially that part at about the 73% point I had a feeling it would go the way I was thinking but it did make me second guess things ♫ Okay sooo I didn't really like the Epilogue I didn't like who's POV it was from either It felt so disconnected and I didn't believe that Andrew and Camryn would stay away that long Also even though I was happy with how things wrapped up she really wrapped them up I'm not sure how I feel about fifteen years going by ♫ Also technically the book stops at 85% I hate that because I had no clue there were excerpts and info for other books tacked on I wish somehow they could make the percentage for just the story and anything else would be over 100% especially because it made me think something crazy was going to happen Favorite quotes ❤ “I did it in the shower just minutes ago You should’ve been there”❤ “Remember when I said you were the world to me? You asked me to remind you if you ever forgot Well I’m reminding you now”

4 Breathtaking stars After a very bumpy path Andrew and Camryn are finally together with a baby on the way and completely happy They have all their lives ahead of them to make new plans and get to know the world But plans can change anytime and when tragedy knocks at their door they must deal with the most difficult path they probably had to walk throughAnd find out the place they want to belong in the world when the world doesn’t seem like a good place to be any I really liked this book I did I know I’ll eventually get back to it a re read some of my favorite parts But I didn’t liked it by far as I did the first one The best thing about this book is that we had so much of Andrew’s mind and that’s a great place to be wink I couldn’t feel as connected as I felt in the first one nor I have the absolutely necessity to keep reading ‘til it ends or my eyes close with sleep Whichever comes first I’m sure you know that feelingBut do I think that you should read it? YES Especially if you read the first and loved it And if you haven’t read the first why are you reading this? And WHY AREN’T YOU READING IT??It was not a bad book far from it it was pretty damn good just not as much as the first But that’s understandable it’s a hard level to achieve Go read this now Andrew Parrish is a book boyfriend you really can’t miss

Warning This review contains huge spoilers for The Edge of Never In five months I found myself with him fell in total unconitional crazy love truly learned how to live met pactically his entire family and quickly felt like a prt of them went through a life and death journey with Andrew got pregnant and engaged All in five months' time And now here we are facing another hardship And he's still with me every step of the way And Andrew is back Give me a moment here ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥Okay where was I? Right The review You all should know I can and will never get enough of Andrew Parrish so if Ms Redmerski decided to write 10 books about him even if it was a boring HEA I would read them all and rate them all 5 stars because I love him so damn much So as Camryn would say I may be a bit biased here The Edge of Always picks up right where the first book left off A few months ago when I was laid up in that hospital bed I didn't think I'd be alive today much less be expecting a baby and engaged to an angel with a dirty mouth Andrew is still as hilarious as ever He may be even wonderful in the sequel I laughed so much in the beginning and I fell in love with him all over again Camryn and Andrew have grown up a lot They're wise and mature for their age but at the same time they're still that playful boy and girl who met on the bus and who keep teasing each other and making each other laugh I think the synopsis covers the story pretty well It's not all good times and every couple goes through hardships at one point in their relationship Unfortunately for Andrew and Camryn they can't catch a break and after going through what they went through with Andrew another tragedy strikes them Now there comes a time in a person's life when you have to face something so horrible that you feel like you'll never be the same person again It's like something dark swoops down from somewhere above and steals every shred of happiness you have ever fet and all you can do is watch it feel it go knowing that no matter what you do in your life that you'll never be able to get it back Everybody goes through this at least once No one is immune We all deal with problems in a different way and Camryn deals with problems by trying to forget or ignoring they exist Much like she did in the first book Luckily she still has Andrew who moves heaven and earth and uses his brilliant mind and wisdom to help Camryn get through whatever she's going through and make her feel like smiling again You're like a philosopher with tattoos Andrew and Camryn learn to live in the moment again together enjoy the little things do whatever they enjoy and whenever they enjoy it They have moments of weakness strength stupidity and happiness This book is about not letting your fears stop you from doing what you want the most Not conforming to society's wishes but doing what makes you happy And knowing that everything happens for a reason I'm not saying that people who choose to stay in one place all their life and raise a family are wrong It's the people who don't want to live like that who dream about being something doing something but never pull it off because they let fear stop them before they get started I am so sad that Andrew and Camryn's story is over now I cried during the last few chapters and I can't even tell you why I think it's partly because I love them so much and another part of it is that there's a lot that I feel I can relate to Their story kind of made me wonder if I made the right choices in my own life We only have one life We get one shot at making it worth living We took our shot and ran like hell with it My song for Andrew and Camryn is Between the Raindrops by Lifehouse ft Natasha Bedingfield I think it fits perfectly I played it on repeat while reading and the song alone made me cry I'll leave you with the lyrics and if you haven't heard this song yet go YouTube it Look aroundThere's no one but you and meRight here and nowThe way it was meant to beThere's a smile on my faceKnowing that together everything that's in our wayWe're better than alrightWalking between the raindropsRiding the aftershock beside youOff into the sunsetLiving like there's nothing left to loseChasing after gold minesCrossing the fine lines we knewHold on and take a breathI'll be here every stepWalking between the raindrops with youTake me nowThe world's such a crazy placeWhen the walls come downYou'll know I'm here to stayThere's nothing I would changeKnowing that together everything that's in our wayWe're better than alrightWalking between the raindropsRiding the aftershock beside youOff into the sunsetLiving like there's nothing left to loseChasing after gold minesCrossing the fine lines we knewHold on and take a breathI'll be here every stepWalking between the raindrops with you Lifehouse ft Natasha Bedingfield Between the RaindropsI just wanna sit here and stare at this cover all day
